I've got a baby sister who looks just like me
She wants nothing more than a man to please
Maybe she's in too deep
Her love for him ain't cheap
But it breaks just like a knockoff piece
From Fulton street
The man's got a gift for getting what he wants
He's thirsty when he drinks
Get's on a brink, and throws her off
I bow down to pray
I try to make the worst seem better
Lord, show me the way
To cut through all his worn out leather
I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away
But baby, I just need one good one to stay
I actually love how she is going against trends. Joanne is much more mature and sincere than all of her previous work, and really shows who Gaga/Stefani is at her core. She has been doing EDM longer than most pop artists, and I don't want her ******** out another dance album to make fake fans happy and appease radio listeners.
Since 2011 Gaga has proved us over and over that she does whatever the f*** she wants. It has not always worked out for the best commercially, but it'd be sadder if she was generic AF and still underperfomed.
Another positive aspect about MR: her vocals sound PLEASANT. I'm sorry but Perfect Illusion is going to sound a mess live half of the time or more. I'm glad she can still serve pleasant sounding vocals.
Yeap, Its just pop music. But what kind of pop influence, i have no clue. Definitely not country.
Still this album is shaping up to be interesting and new in a nice way.
