All three albums were released in the 2000s by veteran female popstars and all sold over 10 million and contained global hits and were the biggest eras in the early/mid 2000s and considered comebacks either from underperforming albums (Mariah/Madonna) or a long break (Celine). Which one do you prefer. Madonna's Confessions on A Dance Floor, Celine's A New Day Has Come, or Mariah's Emancipation of Mimi.

Emancipation was pretty local. We Belong Together (as much as I love it) was purely carried by radio.

I don't get why y'all are posting the COADF numbers when it was asked which is preferred, like do you prefer an album just because it performed well?
Anyway in terms of preference, for me it's close but Emancipation > COADF bc while the highs are pretty neck in neck, Emancipation doesn't have a song I dislike as much as Issac. I won't rate Celine's because I literally had never heard of the album before this thread.

It was pushed by radio but don't underestimate it like that, it managed to top Hollaback Girl in digital sales which was what initially pushed it to #1 because the sales were what was keeping Gwen atop the charts, plus Emancipation was pushing amazing weekly numbers considering how terribly Glitter+Charmy performed.

Well, I don't know. Stans always bring up receipts on how certain pop songs outsold WBT in total sales despite not even hitting #1. It's just without radio support WBT would have been another Hung Up which peaked at #7 in US.

You don't just fluke 14 weeks at #1 tho
