If you have two artists that sell the same amount, one from 15 countries, and the second from a single country. It makes sense from a business standpoint to protect the profit margin from decreasing by not wasting money on promoting in other countries that won't make up for profits. This nonsense only exists cause people needed to justify why Taylor Swift was gutting their favs back in the days

her success is unquestionable, and she has the best discography out of all the main pop girls and possibly the most acclaim
