A whistle-blower at an Illinois VA hospital has leaked news that bodies of dead veterans have been left unclaimed in the morgue for up to two months.

"HInes VA — the hospital that has been overrun with cockroaches and mold and left vets waiting for care for months on secret wait lists, has reached a new low in the treatment of our veterans,” Kirk said in an interview with Fox. “We now have reports of bodies being left to decompose in the morgue for months on end.”

The level of decay was so pronounced that at least one of the bodies had liquefied. When the staff tried to remove it, the body-bag burst.

Jesus. When we will start showing more respect for veterans instead of being outraged that people are trying to protest injustice in this country.

Out of all the dark and twisty things I can bear, decomposing bodies is NOT one of them.

The whole veteran support is a half truth in this country, with many of them suffering when they live to return and mistreatment even after they die like this. Shameful.

This makes me really sad. The system ****s people up so much, there's no respect for dead soldiers.

why cant they give them a proper burial if no one claimed them? or even burning the dead body off is a good option but letting it to rot is barbaric
