After being discovered by Dallas Austin and Clive Davis at the age of 11, Monica went straight in the studio to record her debut album, Miss Thang. The success would come in an instant when Don’t Take It Personal shot right up to the top of the R&B charts, and went #2 on the Hot 100 behind TLC’s Waterfalls at the age of 14. This would be the first of many achievements for the R&B star.
