Neither, but avoid bleaching. Always wait at least 2 weeks in between jobs. And mix your own stuff instead of buying the kits. They sit for god knows how long.
GRADUAL. And soak your hair in coconut oil before you bleach it. the bleach will penetrate through the coconut oil but you will have a somewhat protective shield.
i cut all my hair off a couple weeks ago because it was so damaged.
and oh yeah.. use 20 vol developer for bleaching. and don't forget to tone it when you're at the level you want but maybe use 10 vol developer.

Don't wash your hair for 24 hours - keeps the natural oils so your scalp has some barrier against the bleach.
Just get it done professionally tbh, I've done it for over a year, had different colours and my hair still slays

what volume developer did you use? I've only ever heard of 30 or 40 being bad for your scalp.

Hence why you go for a patch test at proper places. Trust, I've been doing my hair for so long and my hair is in really good condition!
