Yeah, I agree with what you said about the promo/needing to work. But its been proven time and time again by many artists that it's possible to have a comeback (without that). I'm not trying to argue, for the sake of arguing, but if anyone is able to comeback from the sandy pits of OVER/FADom it would be Lady Gaga. I have high hopes.

But I didn't say it can't be done. I'm just saying you can't comeback from floppage without promoting and just do farming while ur music is out there. The superbowl couldn't even revive Missy Elliot's career, I am not counting on that Not to mention, the album would be out 4 months by then so we'll have to even hope she gets a big boost from it if at all.

The SB kinda did revive Missy though. Maybe not her career, but she got a lot attention and her songs charted higher on iTunes than Katy's post-show. Lets not forget that it helped GMAYL debut Top 10 almost 30 years into Madonna's carreer. I think you are underestimating the power of the SB. 1/3 of the US watches it + millions worldwide. That's close to 200 million viewers. She'll get a decent boost for all her albums, but Joanne will be the biggest one since it's the newest. She can push 80-90k copies that week. Coldplay's album was already out for 2 months and they did 70k pure; 90k SPS
