I didn't see anything damaging in those vids.
I guess the GOP can take solace in the fact that Mitt Romney beat Obama by even a wider margin in the 1st debate. So losing isn't the end all be for them. Unfortunately for them, the media is now deciding to empty their investigative journalism" efforts they've been sitting on from now to the election.

THE BACKFIRE. The Democrats are exploiting the GOP campaign finance reform agenda. Out paced them and once in office, will have it overturned. BLOOP!
Quote:
Democrats denounced it as an assault on democracy and a sop to billionaires when the Supreme Court issued a ruling two years ago that loosened limits on campaign giving.
But Hillary Clinton and Democratic Party leaders are now exploiting the decision, funneling tens of millions of dollars from their wealthiest donors into a handful of presidential swing states.
|
Quote:
The Democratic National Committee — in debt and underfinanced a year ago — has poured nearly $30 million into these key states through the beginning of September. The funding was powered by a surge of six-figure contributions raised by Mrs. Clinton from the likes of James Cameron, the Hollywood director, and George Soros, the retired hedge fund manager, as well as several members of the billionaire Pritzker family.
The Republican National Committee has provided the states with just $11 million, limited by Donald J. Trump’s difficulties in persuading the traditional Republican big-donor base to invest in his campaign.
“In many ways, we are kind of used to the concept of building our own empire,” said Matt Borges, the executive director of the Republican Party of Ohio, adding that he did not believe Ohio Republicans would be at a disadvantage come Election Day. “I’ll take whatever I can get.”
More than two-thirds of the Democrats’ cash went to a dozen presidential battlegrounds critical to any Clinton victory. The biggest beneficiaries were Florida, which has taken in close to $3.5 million, and Pennsylvania and Ohio, which have each received more than $2 million.
In each of those states, the funds from the national party have made a difference, erasing deficits in federal contributions against the respective Republican state parties.

Lol if you think Citizens United is getting overturned after this success.
Edit: And they only outpaced b/c of Trump, Clinton's big money ties to every special interest and legal money laundering (Bernie's words). So noble.

Do you think hes serious about wanting to win? Even though he's no seasoned politician, he has many good people around him. This stuff cannot be happening if he was 100% focused on winning. I think he doesn't care either way it's so bizarre

Citizen's United was too much of a center point of the platform to not follow through with it. The party benefited from it this time, but the likelihood of this repeating is unlikely. If they care about a Democratic majority congress, they will overturn it.
If I never hear "special interest" again in my life, I'll be content. Special interest only ever seems to be applied to Hillary when it comes to money, but I'll let y'all live. Trump played an adverse effect on his party's ability to raise funds, that was a given. Hillary was already a great fundraiser, every week, she had private and public fundraisers lined up. It was a given that she would make that paper.

I think he wants to not be a loser, but those tapes released today show he has just has a naturally defiant personality. Maybe he just like to attack anyone who comes for him regardless of the consequences.

While the ballot sample to date remains small, Clinton so far is hitting guideposts in several battleground states compared to 2008 and 2012.
Though preliminary, data compiled by The Associated Press suggest that advance voting could reach 40 percent of all votes cast nationally - up from 35 percent in 2012. It may also indicate a higher overall turnout in an election that has generated enormous public interest despite - or because of - the unpopularity of both major party candidates.
In Ohio, nearly 806,000 voters had submitted absentee ballot applications. That’s up from nearly 723,000 during a similar period in 2012, when a record 1.87 million early ballots ultimately were cast by mail and in person.
In Greensboro, North Carolina, Brandon Starkes, 28, cited the state’s unsuccessful bid to impose a voter ID law in his decision to vote early. The law was struck down as racially discriminatory.
“I want to make sure I don’t have to deal with issues at the polls on Election Day,” he said. Starkes plans to vote for Clinton.
Voting ahead of Election Day has been a growing phenomenon in the United States, designed to make it easier for people to participate in the democratic process. Absentee voting long has been a fixture in elections, and the trend toward greater early-voting has picked up steam, as increasing numbers of states have approved changes in election laws to permit it. This electoral culture change reflects not only interest in voter participation but also the changing, more mobile lifestyle of Americans.

They're expecting 40% of the votes to already be cast by November 8th? WOW!

Isn't that whole point of repealing Citizens United? That big money is a negative influence on our elections? If it "only applies to Hillary" and is no biggie why do you care if it is repealed? Just for the midterms?

Citizens United can only be overturned in two ways. 1) A Supreme Court decision which is possible, but will probably take years to go through if at all 2) constitutional amendment and that could only happen if Dems took over Congress which is not likely
She'll be better trying to do a small donor match system.

@kylegriffin1: "I'm not sure anyone's more qualified to be President of the United States than Hillary Clinton." —Bill Weld to Chuck Todd on #MTPDaily.
Gary Johnson's own VP saying this.

Yikes. Add this to the fact he wouldn't rule out dropping out of the race if it looks like he's taking away more votes from Hillary to elect Trump...how hasn't Johnson dropped him yet?

He can't do a debate because people are talking about a mic?

It's funny because the mic wasn't even an issue to TV viewers. It was only an audio issue in the building. So the people that needed to hear Trump heard him loud and clear
