Taxes towards health, military, etc I am more than happy to pay. But increased taxation for whatever social justice project a liberal government has dreamed up I do not support. I am a conservative, and I believe in low taxation and small government. I do not trust the government with the accumulation and redistribution of the wealth of individuals, nor do I think wealth distribution via taxation is moral. To quote Ben Shapiro, it's not moral to steal other people's wealth just because you're poorer than they are. In other words, progressive taxation of the rich just because they're rich isn't moral.

Political identifiers aside, I believe that everyone deserves the right to decent, quality healthcare and the quality of the care you receive shouldn't be compromised due to your race, religion or socio-economic status. As a medical fellow, I'd hope that you had the same philosophy there.
The problem is that if you
do have that philosophy, then you'd see it's simply not moral to stand back and let the wealthiest continue to expand the gap between themselves and the poor and middle classes. Because all that does is exacerbate the problems we're having already with the above.
