Poor Simon Cowell, the boy band he once worked SO hard on creating is slowly but surely falling apart. It has been reported earlier this month the 22-year-old star will be guided into the next stage of his career by Capitol Records – having been given offered a “huge” pay cheque to sign on the dotted line.

Normally, the fearsome Simon Cowell, 56, is the one handing out disses left and right, but now, it appears that Niall Horan, 22, has turned the table on the man who STARTED his pop career! Niall is ditching Simon’s record label to launch his own career with Universal, according to The Daily Star. Like Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, Niall has chosen to leave the Syco label, and we’re willing to bet that Simon’s ticked!

Either way the news will sting Simon Cowell, who had predicted the Irish hunk would stay “loyal” to his label or Sony at least after Liam Payne walked in July.
A source told The Sun: “Simon has made no secret of his expectations for Niall to stay loyal to him and has been desperately trying to keep him as a solo act with plans to turn him into a Justin Bieber style artist.
"They’ve worked together closely since day one and have always had strong relationship, but Universal offered a lot of money. Simon’s likely to be so frustrated Niall has gone to a rival.”
This news come as a complete shock to Simon, who’s been eager to announce Niall’s unwavering commitment to Syco. “We are expecting to announce something soon with Niall, his album is nearly done” he declared just a few weeks ago, adding, “I’ve always known he’s loyal.”

Uh-oh… Guess Niall is turning over to the dark side!
