How did Perfect Illusion
"lose"? I swear atrl sometimes...
It's not a bad song, it's just not what is trendy at the moment. Hits these days don't need excessive promo to smash as we've seen with such cases like Closer, Stressed Out, Work, etc.
However since Perfect Illusion is loud and abrasive among many other things it's definitely going to need a lot more exposure to be a big hit. Just Like Fire is the only song that went top 10 this year that I would say is anything like Perfect Illusion and even that's a strech so I'm not really surprised at how it's not as successful as previous Gaga singles.
but hey, at least I genuinely love the song and it's a stepup from the ARTPOP days
