My point still does stand. The US does have its own cuisine and even if they may have originated from the home countries of immmigrants there's an American spin to it. If you say these dishes aren't American, and a few others that originated in the US don't count then you'll have to do the same for other cultures.

Exactly, when Europeans have been inspired by other cuisines, they make slight changes and then claim them as their own. When Americans do the exact same thing they are labeled as non American and not given any credit.
Either way, American cuisine is unique
