So, the speculation about Daft Punk's tour in 2017 has been going for a while. Now NME is reporting this:
Quote:
a Reddit user has discovered a page on the Lollapalooza festival website which is dedicated to Daft Punk. The page was built in February, which would appear to indicate that Daft Punk were booked then to play the festival next year.
The timing would fit with Daft Punk playing live every ten years, with their only previous tours having taken place in 1997 and 2007. There have been persistent rumours in the past two months that they will headline Glastonbury next year, 20 years after their only performance.
In addition to the Reddit thread, a line-up apparently leaked for the Chile leg of Lollapalooza lists Daft Punk as headliners. There is no word on whether any new music will appear. Having released their most recent album ‘Random Access Memories’ in 2013, they feature on The Weeknd’s new single ‘Starboy’.
