No it's not strange because the death of her aunt/his sister affected him his entire life. He was always sad...Joanne's death effected the way he would lead his life forever, the way he treated his wife and daughters etc...he was always distant Gaga has said and it is rooted in the sorrow he had locked inside...he never wanted to get close to another woman again, even his daughters and wife, in fear that they would leave him in one way or another ...the same way Joanne unfortunately left him when he was a young boy.
