Its a fact that everyone wants to be immortalized and be a pop star while they are still young and hot. Even if its just a 1 hit wonder career people still would take that over growing old without making a mark.

True, but nobody wants to become a star while they are old! Everyone wants to have that hit record while they were still young and hot so that when they get older they can show their kids "look suzy, didn't I slay as a teen/young adult?"
I think most people on ATRL would prefer to have a Carly Rae Jepson like Career. She was able to have a normal teen and young adult life, but still leave her mark in history while looking youthful and fresh faced! Now she doesn't have to worry about industry pressures or too much media attention. She can just coast all the while knowing that her song will be played on one of those classic pop stations in 20 yrs.
Bruno Mars and Madonna blew up in their mid 20s. JLO, Lana and Nicki Minaj blew up in their late 20s, Sia didn't start smashing until her late 30s. Not every pop star happens at 19.
