Miranda Cosgrove's brand new song "Kissin U" was unveiled on Friday, March 12. Serving as the lead single of her upcoming studio album "Sparks Fly", the track was unleashed when the "iCarly" star showed up on a live chat on her Facebook.
On the same day, the songstress also visited Ryan Seacrest's radio show and talked about the new single with the "American Idol" host. For another promotional effort, she has taped an appearance on "Rachael Ray" show which will be aired on March 23 when the song is out for purchase. "Kissin U" is written by Miranda along with Dr. Luke, the mastermind behind hit singles from the likes of Britney Spears and Katy Perry. Beside working with Dr. Luke, she also gets help from another acclaimed music maker Pharrell Williams on another song of the album.
"Sparks Fly" is due to come out in the U.S. on April 27. Meanwhile, "Kissin U" has been made available for free stream on Miranda Cosgrove's MySpace.
I hope the album has another "About You Now." That song was such a guilty pleasure. I don't know how I feel about this song after the first listen, but maybe it'll grow on me.
Not a fan of the song but I'm happy to hear it's going for adds and I hope it will find some success on top 40 radio.
It would be nice to see one of Nickelodeon's stars hitting it big as opposed to the disney ones. Afterall Miranda's show iCarly gets higher ratings than all the disney channel shows.
& I found this tracklist for the album on Amazon:
1. Kissin U
2. BAM
3. Disgusting
4. Shakespeare
5. Hey You
6. There Will Be Tears
7. Oh Oh
8. Daydream
9. Brand New You
10. What Are You Waiting For
11. Adored
12. Beautiful Mess
Yeah. I don't know why I wanted it to be included on her debut album anyway All I know is that her version of About You Now is amazing. I find her version better than Sugababes' original.
