It's weird because Android does provide more Laptop-esque functionality, but it's not user friendly AT ALL.
In which case, it isn't a replacement.
While the iPad isn't similar to laptops and PC's at all, they get the job done of what you can do on a laptop, with ease.
So while the iPad is just an overblown iPhone/iPod, it does what you can do with a laptop, easily with a touchscreen.
Android is closer to Windows/Mac, but isn't as user friendly to get the results you want.
