Okay, so I've been thinking bout (you) it for a while and basically I think that it's safe to say that Ariana is the new gay icon for the younger generation. I've been on stan twitter for a while and I've seen that Ariana has undeniably the biggest fan base as a female artist there but more importantly (well important to my case) she has the largest amount of young gay stans. I see a lot of younger gay people in her following and the only other fandom I can think of that pulls in a lot of gay stans is the 5H fandom but Dinah used gay as an insult and even ignoring that Ariana's fan base is bigger anyways so I ruled them aside. I mean, even looking at the fan art side of instagram, most of the big art accounts dedicated to Ariana are young gay stans who draw her for fun/and for followers; I could really delve into how I see her having a huge gay following on a lot of platforms (tumblr,youtube,etc,) but that would take forever. Also I know a lot of you are older (not old but older when it comes to the age of most of her gay fans) so you might not be able to see it but do you think she might be the gay icon for the next generation?
