Do the ATRL Joining restrictions help members integrate
Do you feel it is easier for members to join the community and integrate on ATRL versus forums that have open registration all the time. New members are immediately part of a mini community of that years new members and because registration opens so seldom, fanbases, SYG, RTers etc are actively open to welcome a large numbers of new members. to their mini communities. Atrl registration is an event so to speak and new members are the centre of it and immediately included. In open forums, new members would end joining alone and feel like they are an outsider and awkward for a while and be ignored more by existing members
Actually, if they post in SYG within their first week on ATRL it's 95% possible it's a dupe of a banned member. We've had like 10 exposes and permabans last time registration was opened.
I don't really think so. The difference is that we're seeing people pouring in at once instead of a steady stream. With the steady stream it'll be just as easy imo. Of course that assumes people don't try to create alt/troll accounts.
The atrl joining restrictions only help the servers be as stable as they can be.
They should be open all the time because recent registrations have only brought in Swifties and Little Monsters and the stan mentality they have is just toxic, but since the servers aren't stable they should stay the way they are.
