United Nations (United States) (AFP) - Britain, France and the United States have requested an urgent UN Security Council meeting on the escalating campaign in Syria's second city of Aleppo, diplomats said Saturday.
The meeting was likely to be held at 10 am (1400 GMT) on Sunday, the diplomats said.

So they're meeting in 14 hours.

lmao @ Syria becoming a part of Jordan, did you at least bother to check the difference in size, total GDP and military power?

Jordan will never, they have enough mess with the Palestinians and other refugees.

I'm sure they'd take being a part of our safe and stable country over the fear of not waking up every morning. There's a reason we already have 1.5M-2M Syrian refugees here right now, many even illegally escaping their camps to integrate into Jordanian society and seek jobs.
But we're good anyway, if any country should take over then let it be Turkey. We're done giving free passes and losing our own resources. Our government itself says it had enough.

Obama said this,though.

We didn't "build walls" when we let in millions of Syrian refugees, but enough is enough. We're losing jobs, money, land, resources, school spots, etc. and other countries aren't letting nearly as many people as they should.
We even lost human lives along the way with some attacks. We shut the border for serious reasons, it was the right thing to do.

 at the sarcasm.
They should've done more before **** got out of hand.
It seems like a lot of those in the coalition forces underestimated what basic human nature can do to keep on surviving.

Black Hawk Down and Vietnam their impact
We try not to intervene much anymore, even when we obviously should (Rwanda).

Obama's words are sound but too ideal. If you close your doors, all those previous efforts will be wasted and could lead to a global acceptance that the refugee solution failed and may do the same as your country.
IMO, your government is probably asking their western allies to subsidize their spendings on the refugees. If it didn't work out then you all have the right to refuse more refugees.

How is this relevant to the discussion. We're talking about Syria.

Anyway I read recently Obama wants to strike ISIL with everything he has before he leaves office.. what that means, idk.

I personally support Al-Assad and am against the "revolution", I honestly could care less about what Jordan offered to the "refugees".
Now, the pro-Assad army is the one dealing with ISIS and terrorist groups - the mess that the "oppression" and their "free army" caused - while "refugees" escaped to Europe, to rape women, beat gays and cause terrorism.
And no one will take over there anyway, it's not like we're some defenseless slaves to the NATO or something with no protection or whatsoever.

Give Syria to Russia. They have the resources to keep the country stable.

You're exactly right, we have not been receiving the funding we need to take care of them.

It is relevant.
Do you know how WW2 was ended?
Kaboom.
Not saying they should do that but by doing less just draws out the war and will probably add more casualties in time than just killing the root cause while it's still immature.
In my view, the world has become more infected. US and their allies tried a more diplomatic but indirect solution to the problem to appear as very much politically-correct as they can be so as not to offend people and have their opponents use the war as an example of their hypocrisy like most critics say to US. But by doing so, It's like trying to wait for the cure for cancer instead of just being done with it and just have surgery to remove the malignancy before it spreads.

Extreme religiousness needs to be exterminated from Syria and Iraq. Maybe then terrorist organizations like ISIS wouldn't rise up.
