The Daily Mail is an amoral cash cow, and the most effective way to reject the bile it prints is to never read it. The editors don't think their readers are nice people; they think they're small-minded, curtain-twitching misers, largely because that's what the editors are like as well. As a Daily Mail journalist once put it to me, "There is no conspiracy with the Mail. It's just what you get when you have a newspaper run by [censored]."
