Not sure if there are any Jacob fans on here, but I didn't know he released this! I went to his concert in August and he said it was coming soon. I just found this out and bought it via Best Buy.com.
I just want people to be aware of it, since it's not released in stores.
I bought all his signed EPs and the new album. I love it so much! I may even prefer it over Shawn's Illuminate and Shawn is my fave...Focus should be a worldwide smash.
This album's alright. I like his EPs a little more. The title track and Focus are really good, though. I think it's the production that kinda brings this down. I personally like Jacob's voice and songs more than Shawn Mendes' actually, but the production on this album is too...polished maybe?
It's still an enjoyable listen though, and the vibe of the songs are fantastic. Very singer/songwriter.
I finished it. Very good album. Much more fun than his EP's. People who prefer his EP's shouldn't be hating Illuminate. His EP'S weren't bad, but they lacked diversity. It wasn't as upbeat.
If Shawn Mendes went more upbeat, it would prob sound like this.
