To be fair, they probably picked the single because it was indeed the most commercial ready song on the album. And if there are better choices on the album, well then so be it really. Just hope you enjoy the rest of the new music coming towards your way.
i cant at people still doubting if pi is lead single worthy, ofc it is, even gaga confirmed it herself that pi does not represent the album's sound, pi is the most mainstream and commercial driven song on joanne, i prefer pi as the lead instead of a folk ballad which would literally get 3 views - one from me, one from jeiboy and one from jay or torturo

PI is the most radio friendly single in the album according to majority of the fans from the listening party and another track (prolly Dance song). Its one of the most upbeat for the lead.
the audio at this point had 1,8M views i guess and the official number for day 1 was 5.5M. the video is doing really really well for the so called "flop" song
