Hm, let's see! When the family remained open late, people from the community complained about trouble-making, noisy patrons. Thus, the city asked them to close early in the night. The family didn't comply until police officers appeared and forced them to close. Did I need to mention the family's religious beliefs or heritage to explain that? The family's complaint was about the bias in police enforcing a curfew for them and not enforcing similar curfews and complaints on another, non-Muslim run businesses in the area. You know that the police treated all businesses in the area similarly? Do you live there? What part of NJ are you from?

The actions of one Muslim man - which have yet to be shown to be connected to his faith in anyway - cannot be used to cast doubt on Islamophobia that Muslims may face. You seriously doubt Muslims, less than 10 years after 9/11, would still be facing racism in the NY Metro area?
