Just because someone put it up for free on youtube doesn't mean you shouldn't pay for it though. Unless the artist/their label put it up and you're being served ads, youtube is basically just a "legal" form of pirating.
Doesn't labels give permission to put up music as long as you post stuff like 'None of this is mine, full copyright goes to x label"? Youtube is also a great promotion platform especially for new artists
You're really not entitled to free music and if you think the cool option is to go back to stealing music than that's on you. It's only a matter of time. Tidal will rebound if Spotify removes the free tier. They offer more. AM will maintain brand loyalty and continue to grow. Spotify won't suffer, but the competition will stiffen up, especially since they essentially offer less than the other two for the money.
