Does anyone know what percentage of Spotify's monthly active users come from the US, or where I can find this information?
I'm not sure how to give you stats on monthly users, but I can try to estimate just users in general.
HDD revealed in June that Spotify had 11M Premium members. We know that the % of Spotify users that are Premium is roughly 30% (globally) because Spotify told us (also in June) that they had 100M total users and 30M Premium users. They told us last June that they had 75M total users and 20M Premium users, so the percentage has risen slightly since then.
I would imagine that the % is slightly higher in the US, as it’s more economically well-off than most of the other countries Spotify is available in. But if we just use the global %:
11M Premium users in the US in late June = 36.7M free users in the US in late June, for a grand total of 47.8M US Spotify users.
47.8M US Spotify users / 100M total users WW = 47.8%. So I think it's reasonable to say that roughly half of Spotify users are American. But like I said, I don't know how many of those are active, and I don't think Spotify publicly publishes data on that.
