I mean obviously both are trash but are openly bigoted people "better" than the ones who lie about it? At least with the honest ones you know where you stand and can avoid them.
Not like John and Judy the middle aged, everyday couple who live down the street, attend church on Sundays, preach about love and smile at strangers. But behind closed doors they're calling people every n-word, queer and other slurs under the sun, donating to the NRA and sponsoring Blue Lives Matter rallies.
