No. I feel like Gaga is not willing to promote herself in a way to grab the public's attention back. The music she's releasing also does not help with that.
I'm loving this grasping at straws y'all are doing all of a sudden. You can't honestly believe anything you just said. Plus I think that poster meant musically.
Which they're right. Even at that time, Britney still hired the best producers and delivered a regarded pop album. Which spun out two global hits, where the "worst" performance was in the US.
Gaga can't rebound like Britney because one, Britney had an entire image to repair. Two, like I said above, Brit was still being handed the best.
Gaga has just been steadily making worse and worse music. Unless she magically finds her former talent in songwriting/melodies or relinquish this fake "this is for my aunt" stripped act, there's no rebounding because nobody will ever take Gaga seriously. She can duet with every member of the silent generation and still the public will only know Gaga the meat dress woman who used to have great, disposable pop songs.
So no she won't. She's way too stubborn.
Harsh but true. Gaga is only 30 years old and yet she seems much older, she's already burnt out and apparently can't handle a live television performance anymore. Her manager is her best friend and is coddling her and letting her do whatever she wants while her sales plummet like a stone. I unfortunately can't see any way out of this because she just doesn't have the drive anymore. Many thought that her emotional breakdown during ARTPOP was a temporary thing and that she would come back fierce and strong like before but it seems like the damage was permanent.
Cher peaked decades after her career died and she was branded a fad. I don't think Gaga will come back to dominance, but I think she could pull a Mariah with another huge era followed by a smaller one.
Plus, for all we know, she could have a killer second single lined up.
Circus was a decent era because the music was good + people wanted to see Britney come back after her personal struggles and public meltdown.
Britney has always been humble, while Gaga makes claim like "releasing the album of the millennium" "new thriller" etc, which rubs the general public the wrong way and won't help get them back on her side.
No, Britney was willing to let people handle her career (no shade) for her and put her back on the right path and remind people why they loved her once. Gaga is too egotistical/displaced from reality/untalented to ever release material that normal people actually want to listen to again.
Perfect Illusion was chosen by her label, and Lady GaGa is more of a puppet than you'd image a popstar as obnoxious as her to be.
No, but the circumstances were completely different. Britney was struggling with personal issues before Circus, and was still very much in the public eye and had peoples attention. People wanted her to recover and get better, and it just so happens that after her meltdown, she released a great album.
Gaga has been declining in the public eye for a while now, her image and brand recovery are pretty much forgotten now and people genuinely do not care about Lady Gaga's pop music in the slightest anymore. Plus she was far too cocky before the Joanne era, which doesn't bode well.
No, but she will have a comeback. Britney's comeback was meteoric because her fall was so catastrophic, meaning her rebound was far bigger. Gaga's fall was nowhere near as dramatic as Britney's, so her rebound will be on a lesser scale.
I don't follow Gaga enough to know it but if she still wants "it", meaning willing to put in effort to rehearse and stuff she'll rebound. Gaga is a good performer, she really just needs to go back to pure pop.
