Oh yeah, this is that story where some people even say it was aliens. Its hard to really make a conclusion on this since there is so much missing information. There are so many different theories, its always intrigued me.
The radiation on their bodies was actually beta-radiation with the characteristics of isotope K-40, and some say it was just from one of the members coat. Nuclear detonations were a thing at that time, so its possible that some sort fallout ended up on that one member and spread to others? Maybe some hidden behind the scenes testing was going on? Nobody knows but stories like these always take hours of my life from research. Its crazy

Some of the victims had fractured skulls, brain damage, and a missing tongue. This was not an accident, y'all.
Her tongue was actually just degrading naturally, not ripped out or anything like that. I do agree that this is still very suspicious, everything else is just...unusual.
