They really have a lot in common both sonically and commercially. Bad Romance was crazy awful at first. It was noise. It just seems odd to think about that cause it is huhe and iconic.

I fully believe this can pull through and end up peaking in the Top 10 by/during album release week.

Also, I definitely think the second single is going to be a lot easier to get into and GP friendly. Just an inkling.

FourFiveSeconds did good so her first attempt was already a slay. PI is her American Oxygen. Single #2 will be her BBHMM and single #3 will be her FourFiveSeconds. Then scrap the singles and release a RedOne bop aka her Work!! Omg gaga queen of reversedness

PI is an oddity; the vocals and the instrumental don't merge, that's what makes it polarizing
the vocals are too raw and unedited and overwhelm the thin production, that kind of vocal delivery would be more fitting for a ballad, and that kind of production would need some less louder vocals with a bit of variety tone wise, she literally belt through the whole song and the lyrics are quite repetitive and there is literally no Chorus it's so premature and the bridge is s cluttered and the key change is so sudden and unwarranted, but somehow I grew to love it but not everyone can go past these major flaws, and I don't see how one can dare to compare PI to bad romance a song that I myself find very overrated by the fanbase yet I still think it's light years ahead of PI and not even in the same lane to be compared because they're so different.

I think those traditional promo spots are losing their chart power in some capacity - it seems that now you can stick a single on some high-profile streaming playlists, high rotation on radio and a film a nice MV to get a hit. Nonetheless, I still think interviews are powerful for selling tickets and potentially improving public relations. I guess that plays into the whole realisation that a single chart (no matter how well done) really can't reflect someone's success or fame entirely.
