I'm doing a Global Politics course and as part of it, I need to find out about Shinzo Abe's plans for constitutional reform.
So here's a few questions:
Quote:
Do you support Shinzo Abe? If so, why?
Do you support his plan to change the constitution (specifically Article 9, which states that Japan essentially rejects the use of military force as a means to an end)?
If he holds a referendum on this, will you vote to change Article 9, or vote to keep it as such?
Considering he ran his recent election campaign on a largely economic basis, how do you feel that he is using his electoral victory to change the constitution (fine, betrayed, etc.)?
1. I don't and I don't see many people here supporting him as well. However, the youth don't really care much about politics.
2. Japan still remembers the 2 bombs in Nagasaki and Hiroshima and most Japanese are still against wars and the use of military
3. I'll vote to stop using military
4. I'll feel betrayed tbh
1. I don't and I'm not into politics
2. I'm against that and so do a lot of my friends
3. I'll vote to keep Article 9 as what it has been for more than 50 years
4. He is somewhere in between Hillary and Trump, a liar, a clown and a joke.

1. No, he's trying to change Article 9.
2. No. Japan has yet to apologize on issues such as comfort women and there are many countries that were badly affected with their doings during WWII - changing article 9 is not a wise idea. It's best to keep them grounded.
3. Keep it.
4. Definitely betrayed.
I am confused, is Japan trying to remove military? If that's the case, in which fantasy world is he living in? We still live in dangerous times and army is needed
