It was only available for, like, under two days, and yet it's debuted higher than all of the recent pop girl singles, unless you count Focus which is a holiday promotional buzz single.
Hotline Bling sold 2M+ and it was Drake's first pop release after that. He went on to have another smash bigger than Work (One Dance) and another big hit (Too Good) despite not releasing videos or performing the songs (at least, not that I know of).
The only artists on Drake's level this year have been Adele and Bieber.
