Well it cracked because it got too hot inside the egg. There was too much pressure inside the egg for the shell to handle. Idk how y'all boil eggs, but slowly heating the eggs to a boil, then turning off the heat, then putting the cap on and waiting for like 1/2 an hour works for me.
