Part of the reason Coven's viewership was so high is because of the huge praise and following Asylum got the show.

aslyum had the second lowest finale viewership with 2mil and Coven had 4mil

Asylum itself is too dark and twisted for GP's taste. Even I knew that it was good and enjoyed it so much, I had to quit mid season for the that reason.

On the other hand, Coven is more mainstream andd enjoyable, reminded of Charmed. Plus, all the strong powerful women throwing sassy shades at each other?? That's gay man's best dream.

I dont see anything wrong with having a season directed toward a certain audience tho? Scream queens have it with the gays and the scream/horror franchise...hotel had it with the ahs story as a whole and lady gaga..asylum was just...boring..it may have the highest rotten tomatoe review (1 review) but metacritic (based on around 20 reviews) and the viewership don't agree with it
