Shakira, Avril, and Gwen have definitely struggled in keeping up. But honestly, they all try their best to stay in their own lane and will likely not have another huge hit unless by some random occurrence which is fine. They're still pretty big names in music. The importance is your legacy not your chart history. There's a reason people like Bowie and prince are highly remembered and it's not necessarily their sales. In fact, many of their later releases in the 90s and on were flops. Just hope she can still have some cultural impact.

I know Gaga says she doesn't care about success/the charts, but she still wants to be at the forefront of the industry in some manner. Obscurity is not on her wish list. She won't let herself fade.

it's the same Lady Gaga I fell in love with too but you can't expect her to keep wearing the 'crazy and weird outfits' for years and be the same person forever, she's growing up and she's changing.

I've come to the conclusion that what sets this song back is the production.

It's not recognizable and isn't executed in its melodies in a since that is recognizable and memorable.

The key change was also tragic.

Also her vocal style in the song is too harsh. The notes she sings don't collide with the production in a good way also.

She should rerecord this.

The lyrics are pretty good I think.
