Basically all countries with over 20% of NEET youth are in big trouble. You can't live off your parents forever.
Most are not trying to be NEETs. What kind of life is it to live with your parents who are always nagging you to find a job, having no money to go out with friends, staying inside, constantly rejected and feeling down on yourself. I highly doubt that those 20% are not trying, there just isn't jobs available.
Poor them indeed. Youth unemployment really is a problem here. Usually nobody works until after college, but it's also true that many decide not to go to college and the jobs are scarce.
I'm a management student in one of the world's best universities for economy, hopefully things get better for my unemployed and uneducated peers!
