Next week's theme: Lennon-McCartney, plus Rihanna performs on results show
March 31, 2010 | 10:18 pm
It's only fitting that on the night Paul McCartney entertains a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl, Fox would announce that next week's "American Idol" theme is the songbook of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Also scheduled for the results show? A performance by Rihanna, who'll sing her hit "Te Amo."
So many possibilities, but if you could choose the songs for Season 9's Top 9, how would you divvy up the Beatles library? Will we see another pass at "Imagine," after David Archuleta delivered it with such passion in season 7? Will we hear any judgments based on Lilly Scott's and Katelyn Epperly's previous performances? How should Siobhan Magnus approach her redemption week? What era will Casey James take on? Who'll go for a more adventurous "Abbey Road" cut and who'll stick to the perennial favorites?
Tune in next week to see how they do.
