I honestly don't see streaming being a very sustainable business model... The record companies are going to get greedier, while the streaming services are also going to try to pay them less...
An interesting read. Also, last year, 89.9% of Spotify's revenue comes from the paying subscribers. That means only a mere 10.1% is coming from ads
It's the best numbers compared to most streaming services.. and I don't think they have to compete too much with YouTube. I've always seem them as different..
Regardless of how many people aren't paying for it, you have 40 million people paying approx $10 a month. That's $400 million a month they are raking in!
