I love this too but I do hope we get to see a male/male relationship one day. I know they confirmed Mr Smiley is gay (I think?) but I don't think they implied that strongly enough in the show and I'm not here for some after the fact Dumbledore **** to be honest.

Not only Steven Universe but possibly the best episode of Adventure Time ever also lost to Robot ****ing Chicken... like... I honestly didn't know that show was still on the air.

I know I'm sort of late but I'm devastated + shocked that SU lost to Robot fkn Chicken for the Emmy

That episode of SU... It was beautiful and so, so terribly deserved the award. But the worse thing is, who it lost to. If it had been AT that had won I would have been completely fine, a little sad for Rebecca but AT is close, if not on the same level as SU for me so that would've been a justified win.

But for it to be Robot Chicken ? Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoy the show (I don't watch it nearly as often or religiously as I do SU/AT but when I have caught it I've laughed and enjoyed it a lot) but for it to beat this show... ugh.

I completely agree, it felt so natural and one of the best depictions of a gay relationship/love interest whatever I've seen in a while, purely because of how natural it came across.

Yeah I do keep thinking this, we really, really need to see a male/male relationship. I know they've very recently confirmed Smiley is gay, and therefore the whole debated topic with him and the sad guy the other week could be now viewed as their first gay male relationship, but I'd like something more ala Pearl + Rose/mystery girl.

Afraid so. Gem Harvest was removed from the schedule. Though thematically with it lining up with the end of summer/school starting it makes sense. Hopefully this hiatus isn't too long, even though we did just get 38 episodes!!

I liked yesterday's episode. It made me like Onion more. When he was bringing Steven out to the forest I was like 'omg noooo Onion's gonna kill Steven' and then it's actually just them having the time of their lives. I really want to figure out more about Onion... so this episode was everything to me.

Same! I actually quite disliked Onion before, his character always creeped me out and confused me, so I'm glad we had this episode to shed some light on him. Although I was confused about the whole bug smashing thing - why did they want Steven to kill it?

Slightly off-topic, are there any Adventure Time fans here? Can't believe they've announced that it's ending Hopefully SU still has many years left in it.

Many shows are being cancelled. It sucks, but I really think SU is ending after the 5th season.
