Adblock Plus is launching a new service that... uh, puts more ads on your screen.
Rather than stripping all ads from the internet forever, Adblock Plus is hoping to replace the bad ads — anything it deems too big, too ugly, or too intrusive — with good ads, ones that are smaller, subtler, and theoretically much less annoying.
It’ll begin doing that through an ad marketplace, which will allow blogs and other website operators to pick out so-called “acceptable” ads and place them on their pages. If a visitor using Adblock Plus comes to the page, they’ll be shown those “acceptable ads,” instead of whatever ads the site would normally run.
I only started using Ad Blockers when Ads really hindered my Internet experience (video's not loading after an ad played, but starting fine when no ad was loaded for example)
I don't care about some visible advertisements in the corners of a site tbh, especially if it's personalized and is something i would like to have
I don't actually mind this. As long as it blocks the ads that run before a video and the ones that pop-up then I'd be okay with it. The discreet ads on the side never bothered me in the first place.
Still a sell-out though. After the amount of money people donated to the creator
But ABP is such a sell out for this. Hypocrites much?
