The only positive that will come from this, if it goes ahead, will be the uproar in response the anti-gay campaign, which will hopefully wither away at the supporters of Same Sex Marriage. I can see a lot of these homophobic adverts being treated as jokes and turned into memes amongst the majority of young Australians. The LBTQI+ community is a very loud and proud community so whatever the anti-gay bigots hit us with, we will hit back 10x harder.

Oh yeah, definitely! If a plebiscite were to go ahead, I hope that the damage caused to confused young people and even LGBTQIA+ people who are "out" by the anti-equality adverts is negated by the overwhelming support the plebiscite receives (if that happens, and I'd assume at least 60 - 70% would say yes).
I'm also scared about the generational divide on this issue. Young people will most likely vote yes to a change in marriage law, but older people may not.
The community is loud because love is love, no matter who the two people are. The sooner bigots learn that, the sooner everybody will be happier.
