An emergency rescue is underway to retrieve a horse that is trapped in a backyard swimming pool on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to a home on Tuesday Drive at Tallebudgera Valley after reports a horse had fallen into a cement swimming pool just before 1pm.
It is not known how the horse came to fall into the pool or whether the animal has any injuries.
A HORSE trapped in a pool at a residential property in Talllebudgera has been freed.
A vet from Gold Coast Equine centre along with two residents of the property used wooden pallets to create steps and the led the horse up and out of the pool, using feed to tempt the horse along.
He eventually made the leap out as emergency services cheered on.
