I wonder how accurate this really is. Like Spanish sounded the same before and after I learned the phrasing and pronunciation, I just didn't know the actual words they were saying.
I find it odd that the sounds differ just because you don't know what the word is. The word book still sounds like book, you just don't know what it means.

Theres a difference between listening to a word and listening to a sentence in a conversation. Because if you don't know the language you don't really know where a word starts and ends, unless it is said very slowly. So like this video you'll just hear gibberish.
It's pretty cool and kind of trippy.
