I think she's finally realized how flaky and unpredictable they are. While some of her peers (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry etc.) shamelessly chase after their next top 10/5 hits Gaga has resigned to making music for her fans and that's what matters in the long run. Timeless music that we would still be bumping to in 2036, Queen
I mean an artist needs to either strive for chart success or critical acclaim and I dont see her attaining either with songs like PI so I just don't get it but whatever
She is currently making a long ass trek on CHR/Top 40 stations to get her name out there again. That does not say ''F the charts'' to me. I think she wants commercial and critical success with this era though.
She's absolutely fronting. Of course someone not doing well right now is going to go on about how "they don't care about that." What is she gonna say? That she keeps checking Kworb and cries herself to sleep at night? You absolutely know if PI went #1 the tsunami of tweets she'd start sending

Artists don't "need" to do anything. How boring.

Tweeting about your success doesn't somehow confirm that you're perched for it. Outta here with that logic.
i honestly haven't heard any of her songs on the radio in years. hopefully this album will be a return to form, hopefully she delivers some timeless classics
