Ahh ic... This wasn't caused by the phone through "normal use". This was caused by him falling off his bike and piercing the battery.

According to the users on Android Central there are no immediate loaner options for those returning their phones.

That's why many haven't been returning them and then the phones just randomly explode in people's hands or whenever... Some are saying the parents should be charged with a misdemeanor for not knowing about the recall or not turning in the phone right away.

The AC users are having a nasty drag out argument over weather or not to return the Note 7. Its hilarious. Its like the Apple forums but its Android.

I dont have enough information based on the article you provided but what I do know is that out of 200 million phones sold maybe 5 peopel were burned by a defective device.... its not even determined who was at fault based on the article you provided. I can find similar cases for other samsung devices.but this Note 7 is an exceptional case because of the numbers of people affected and with a specific model of device.
