In all of my stupidity, I thought Perfect Illusion was the big song that was out on iTunes so I bought a copy. Honestly, I have heard a lot of songs, some better than others, but this is the biggest crap ever. Even the production is cheap and the singer tries to cover up the horrid production by excessively singing.
I had a deja vu feeling back when listening to Perfect Illusion because it resembles the quality of Applause. It's virtually the same thing, only 3 years later. The pure waste of money that went into this.....
An alarm bell should have gone off when I saw Lady Gaga's name.....a formerly successful singer that is looking to score another buck....regardless of the crap being released. Shame on her.

It's like your 5th fanfiction regarding PI. Someone had to quote one for all the effort.
I was personally gifted Perfect Illusion, so I can't exactly complain that I was ripped off (except in that some 3 minutes of my life were irretrievably stolen from me). These sort of songs (Circle The Drain, Kelly Clarkson's discog...) haven't been good for some time now but Perfect Illusion has reached a new low. There wasn't one real redeemable quality anywhere in the song, and most of the alleged "good singing" was actually painful. (There was a considerable amount of screaming, repeating and obnoxious crying.) None of the producers or writers weren't even bothered to put any work into the song. There is nothing hip, clever, or even mildly intelligent going on here. The entire song is from beginning to end crass, vulgar, irrational, and utterly talentless in any human sense. I know that in the past this sort of trash has made enough money to keep the "trend" going but "Perfect Illusion" may just be the downfall of pop music. The utter contempt that Lady Gaga and her collaborators have for their audience is finally beginning to show through clearly. If this one fails (and from what I saw on Kworb's website there is a good chance of it), Lady Gaga will have to go back to the drawing board, stop making these lazy catastrophes, and finally develop good music. This song is an unlistenable piece of puke - stay away from it.
