Her vocals aren't the problem. The production is not the problem. It's the mixing. Her vocals are like superimposed on top of the production.
I was thinking the same thing.
At times the songs sounds like a demo, or an old 80's song blasting through car speakers. I'm guessing it was intentional though. But it doesn't take away from the godliness of the song at all.
I like it, but it's just not as addicting/exciting as I was hoping. It's definitely catchy though. However, it seriously sounds like a Born This Way album track. Lol.

This basically sums up my thoughts. It sounds like a poorly done mashup. Like someone took the vocals and put it over a beat that it kind of goes with, but not really. Lol
Omg if only she could remaster and let that perfection shine through, allowing people to dance to the beats and creaming themselves to that guitar riff and disco beats (insert oprah gif exaggerating her hands to music)
Fade and PI are some of the best songs of the year. Gaga is the one major talent that didn't release a visual element, not saying the video is a game changer, but the lack thereof could be why people don't get it
Noah Fence to one of y'all but first of all, her voice isn't edited or autotuned (aside the adlibs). Her voice was done in one take which is why there were some part that comes out raw, gritty, etc . Don't come saying 'Omg her voice is terrible.'. It's your hearing that's terrible. You just need to understand the emotions. She wasn't singing happily. She's angry, pissed, etc because of the emotions she's putting into the song. Feel free to check that MOTH Live Performance for the reference.
Secondly, you sound stupid if you think this record is not well executed or not produced properly. Are you saying that Mark Ronson, Kevin Parker, BloodPop are terrible at producing the song? Think twice before coming to me for an answer. The reasons why it sounds different is because it is not following the pop structure trends i.e. Verse>Prechorus>Chorus>Verse>Prechorus>Chorus>Midd le8>Prechorus>Chorus. It's different. Very different from radio. Please do feel free to come for me with another song THAT'S PLAYING ON RADIO with EXACT structure.
Thirdly, Oh Well, I'm just going to play the song again because it is one of the best produced song I have seen this year, I believe.

It's poorly mixed yes and there's next to no vocal production as well. I do think the vocals are part of the problem; obviously her raw vocals are good but they shouldn't be raw on studio track imo. It could be better, and there's nothing wrong with that. Gaga has proven herself as a vocalist; she doesn't need to resort to no vocal production to prove this anymore when it affects the overall listening experience.
