The army having her moment to shine after Britney getting dragged for 2 months
I feel really sorry for Gaga, but those few little monsters that dragged Make Me's and Glory's numbers deserves this thread for sure
Monsters before Applause was released: Applause will outperform Roar
Monsters after Roar outperformed Applause: Artpop will be more acclaimed than Prism.
Monsters after Prism got a higher metacritic score than Artpop: A bunch of critics does not dictate how good an album is. Artpop will sell more than Prism.
Monsters after Prism OUTSOLD Artpop: At least Gaga takes risks.
I wonder what the next excuse will be after PI, a "risky" song according to the Monsters, flops. Keep 'em coming, Monsters.
I'd rather her flop million times over than her make music she's clearly not invested in. People like you are what's wrong with a lot of pop music fans, you guys settle for the most basic and one dimensional music ever. Not saying Perfect Illusion is some piece of art or an innovation but it's what Gaga wanted to put out.
Sure, these numbers are not something to write home about but I mean, she's going to be doing similar numbers to someone like Britney who tried so hard to make something meant to be consumed by the masses. Also, this isn't late 00's/early 10's... first week sales don't matter as much.
