She didn't accuse him of some minor sexual harassment, she accused him of rape. If you've never raped someone and someone lied and slandered your image, it makes sense to sue, because it now affects your business and income. It's not about having a "conscience", it's about defamation.

Some of ya'll have an elementary understanding of litigation.

I've never sexually harassed anyone either but my clear conscience wouldn't help me feel any better if someone falsely accused me of rape, then the media and public started calling me a rapist even after I'd been found not guilty and there being no evidence.

You could say the same thing about Dr Luke who is also making a lot of noise about libel.
