A large number of people on Twitter who are part of Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program are feeling cheated by the program. Essentially, it's supposed to allow you to upgrade to the newest iPhone every year once you've made 12 monthly payments toward the cost of your current iPhone.
This is the first year people are becoming eligible to upgrade, but it hasn't gone down as flawlessly as it should have....
Full disclosure, I am the person in the video, and I am also part of the iPhone Upgrade Program. All I wanted was the iPhone 7 Plus, but Apple wasn't having it. #FirstWorldProblems
Maybe it's an issue with T-Mobile? I know when you go to the iPhone Upgrade Program page T-Mobile is the only carrier that says "available in store only." Maybe that's why you can't preorder online?
I haven't upgraded yet but my manager told me I'm good to go.
He just told me I would have to pay my 3 remaining payements. Today he told me I don't even have to pay the remaining balance though and he'll just promo it out. So all I have to pay is the 30 dollar tax for the phone
The simple solution would be to check the reservation site everyday until the store has them in stock. That's what I had to do. It's all about the stock that the store gets daily, not really a problem that Apple can solve
Just because you are part of the Apple Upgrade program doesn't mean they are going to treat you more specially than someone who is buying their phone otherwise...
This has nothing to do with Android vs. iPhone, it's the program specifically for whenever a new iPhone is released. If there were a program for the newest Samsung Galaxy or Note, it would more than likely be the same.

I thought about doing the same however thought about the amount of back-orders and quickly rescinded my purchase. I can't really complain though as I have a 6 Plus. I may just do the 6S Plus (as I want a new phone now, lol) but I might just wait until November/December to get the 7. Have you gotten your phone yet?
when will these privileged whites understand that there are real problems in the world? it's not like if you don't upgrade your phone every year you're going to die... my iPhone 4s from 5 years ago still works flawlessly!
